"THE FORUM" is our Sunday Evening programming for adults. These programs will include Special Studies, Praise & Worship, Special Speakers, concerts, children’s programs and a few surprises. The Forum convenes on Sunday Nights at 6:00 p.m. Children's and Teen activities are offered during this same time. We hope you will join us.

This year, we have changed the format of our Sunday Night Programming for adults. Instead of a single study or series, we are offering multiple electives so that we can offer something for a larger portion of our church family. Each track will have a different theme so that we won't have conflicting studies, like two parenting classes going on at the same time.

Regular programming for the FORUM is on hiatus for the summer but we are excited to announce the following classes which will be offered beginning Sunday night, August 24th.Dave Ramsey's "Financial Peace University"- This class is a biblically-based, video-driven small group study that teaches families to beat debt, build wealth and give like never before.
Discovery 101- This class is an introduction to Northwest Christian Church and our beliefs, including baptism, communion, tithing, etc. Every Man's Battle- American men are in a tough position. This class is designed to help us learn to rise above the sexual temptations in our culture.Conversational Spanish- Come learn the basics of communicating with others in the Spanish language.

We hope that you will plan to join us!

The first to open was our church office building, complete with staff offices, a conference room, kitchen, a workroom and storage area for our ministry teams. The second building was our multi-purpose building, which plays host to many of our youth activities, women's ministry events and additional storage for our ministry teams.
Finally, the main worship building houses our new worship center, classrooms, a large fellowship hall, kitchen, the "Upper Room" and many other amenities. We are excited about this next step in our church's history.
Pam Saunders - Administrative Assistant - NWCC Staff

Pam is a people person. She enjoys meeting new folks and trying to help them feel welcome and at ease. In her position as Administrative Assistant she is able to use those skills, as well as those she garnered during her years in human resources management. After living in the western United States for most of her life she and her family moved to Georgia 13 years ago. Pam feels blessed to have been able to be a stay-at-home mom during that time. However, with college expenses for their two daughters looming she decided a part time job was in order. “God opened the door for my current position at the church. I love it!”

Pam’s leisure time is spent playing tennis, walking or hiking with her two dogs, attending her daughters’ sporting events and traveling with her husband Scott.

Kellie Dailey - Director of Children's Ministries - NWCC Staff

If you ask Kellie what prepared her for her position as Director of Children’s Ministries she’ll tell you it was growing up a preacher’s kid and teaching school; not necessarily her college degree. “I took this job because I felt like the Lord was urging me to do it. He orchestrated the whole thing so that all the pieces fell together perfectly. Sometimes I really feel like I’m not equipped ... but then I remember God wants me here.”

She gets great satisfaction watching kids grow in the Lord. “I want Christ to have an impact on who they are and the decisions they make.” She deeply believes that kids should learn about the Lord’s love early if it is going to “stick out there in the real world”. Meeting new kids who go on to become part of the NWCC family is a true joy for Kellie. “We want to provide opportunities for families to have fun together, learn together, & become connected with other families who are a part of the life of this church. We strive to run a quality program that continues to grow and reach kids for Christ.”

She’ll be the first one to say that she doesn’t do this work alone. “Kid’s ministry is all about the volunteers, and NWCC has some of the absolute best!!!” She says these folks help keep her organized so she can join in the fun.

Kellie is married to NWCC elder, Jason Dailey. They have two children. Kellie’s hobbies are reading, antiquing and she loves to vacation in Maine.

Ron Mobley - Senior Minister - NWCC Staff

In a society that worships youth, riches and self ... Ron has chosen a different path. “Jesus is the Polar star for me. He gives me direction. He’s my motivator.” Don’t expect a stodgy theologist, however. Ron’s faith is vital and infectious and reveals itself in intimate and humorous ways. You might find him expounding on scripture accompanied to the thumping beat of popular music. Perhaps he’ll sing a love song to Jesus in his soulful tenor or make some Biblical point through live drama. Worship stirs his heart, as does sharing it with his brothers and sisters in Christ. He says that prior to his conversion “there wasn’t much in my life in the way of direction, or a desire on my part to do things ethically or morally.” He sees that same lack of direction as he looks at the lost in today’s world. “I’m always surprised at what good people are capable of, but also of the evil that is done.” Ron desires to model the love of the Lord to others. “I try to be committed to following Jesus, although I fall so short much of the time. I am humbled that God forgives me and allows me to get up and try again.” Imparting that “Good News” to others is Ron’s passion. He earned a degree at Cincinnati Christian University and has completed some coursework toward his Masters degree in English Literature. In 1989, Ron became Senior Pastor at NWCC. Ron and his wife, Dee are proud parents of four children and have two grand-daughters. He describes himself as joyful, enthusiastic, and studious. He is a voracious reader, a self-described “sports nut” and loves Celtic music.

Todd Frenier - Youth & Young Adult Minister - NWCC Staff

Like the apostle Paul, Todd talks about life in terms of a race to be won. In his role at NWCC he desires to partner with young people as they strive for the eternal prize. “I love working with youth because it’s such a pivotal time in life. Kids make so many important decisions during their teen years ... it’s my desire that God is at the center of all those decisions for our teens, and their faith in Christ is the recurring theme that shows up in every aspect of their life.” Todd’s “defining moment” was his decision to live for the Lord rather than himself. Once made, that decision launched his career in ministry. In college he pursued a degree in Christian counseling but in his senior year he felt the pull to youth ministry. The richness of the work has been its own reward. Todd says, “When a kid you think has been clueless for years, suddenly has this spiritual epiphany and the light bulb finally goes on in their relationship with Jesus, those are always good surprises.”Todd is married to his college sweetheart, Mandy. They have three children. He spends his leisure time reading, enjoying nature, playing & watching basketball and “laughing with Mandy and the kids”.

Chad Crouch - Worship Minister - NWCC Staff

If you can imagine a child whose choice of music is Chopin ... or a youngster who records musical scores from movies ... and who then goes on to play guitar in a church band ... you’ll have an idea as to how deep and varied is Chad’s love of music. Born in Atlanta the eldest of five children, he says “my parents hated it” referring to his fondness for the classics. At age 16, he put his musical talent to work for the Lord, and that set his feet upon a path that led him into ministry. Chad earned a degree in music ministry from Atlanta Christian College in 2006. Asked about his goals for worship at NWCC he said “I want too create an environment conducive for those who wish to worship God without distraction or hindrance. For those who are not necessarily there to worship God, my hope is for them to see the excellence and passion that goes into the music, and perhaps ask what it is that drives it. When I lead, my desire is to honor and glorify God. I want the music to encourage and move people, as well as entertain them."In 2007 Chad married the love of his life, Lauren. Aside from music, their hobbies include cinema and viewing homes with “significant architecture” from historic to cutting edge modern.

Heath McNease - Rock Hop + Roll

Visit Heath McNease's website to listen to his music.

About Heath McNease:

Heath McNease is a ferocious little monster. His rhymes were carefully crafted in the dark, cavernous lair that he calls his room. He was a normal child with a normal family in a normal little town in Georgia. But then he decided to take over the world one impressionable mind at a time.

Heath McNease lives to push the envelope. He pushes the envelope in order to live. He is not a compulsive gambler. He loves interior design. He combines positive, funny, quirky, intricate, and thought provoking lyrics together to make a delicious verbal stew. add a dash of his melodic hooks and guitar play...then preheat to 350 degrees. Heath is not a guy with a guitar who pretends to rap. he is a rapper who melts faces with his unusual palm slap/boom bap guitar techniques. He has a heart for those who are looking for the right answers.

Attaboy - Rock Hop + Roll

Visit Attaboy's website to listen to some of their music.

About Attaboy:

The four-piece Indiana band has spent the last three years rocking the Midwest and beyond with their passion for music and people, and their ability to create an unforgettable concert experience. Attaboy's versatility continues to impress fans, as they easily jump from searing guitar solo to melodic piano-rock to playful cultural satire in a matter of minutes. In the past year, the band has stretched themselves in new ways, writing some of their catchiest and most focused material to date.

Attaboy's diverse influences meld to bring you music that incorporates the energy of Relient K and the early Jimmy Eat World with the innovation of Mae and The Killers. Employing a bold lyrical honesty that hearkens to Switchfoot but with a progressive energy all their own, Attaboy's new musical direction will keep fans coming back for more. According to frontman, Amos Caley, "Today, with all the junk filling the minds of people, young and old, we feel a strong conviction to take our various influences and produce fun, quality music with authentic messages of hope and healing."

"A Long Time Ago...in a galaxy far, far, away..."
It seems like an eternity since we had our ground breaking services at the property. For those who were there, we had a great time, with singing, special speakers and, as always, good food. Little did we know what God had in store for us if we would just stay true to the vision. We did and He continues to bless us every week as our family continues to strengthen and grow, reaching out to the community.

Sheryl Massey - Office Manager - NWCC Staff

Sheryl Massey came on staff on a part-time basis in 1997. She attended Johnson Bible College receiving a two-year Church Secretarial Certificate in 1975. Her position evolved into a full-time position in 2001 and she now fills the role as our Office Manager, managing several great volunteers and handling both clerical and bookkeeping duties. Sheryl is the mother of their two great kids and is blessed with a wonderful son-in-law (even though she prefers to refer to him as her son). She is a sports fan--most importantly a huge Braves fanatic. She loves the beauty of God's handiwork spending much of her free time hiking outdoors with her dog or going to the beach (if she isn't at a Braves game). Sheryl enjoys working with kids and music, so she also directs with lots of help our Kid's Choir. Sheryl really loves her job and says most days it doesn't seem like work at all. She is here behind the scenes to help provide whatever administrative support is needed to NWCC, its staff and leadership.

Home-Based Study & Fellowship - NWCC Services

Like many churches scattered across the United States, we learned long ago that home-based small groups are an excellent opportunity to enhance church growth. Not only does it present bible study is a more 'relaxed and non-threatening atmosphere', but it also allows members and guests to grow stronger friendships with each other, as well. Our SMALL GROUPS are called FISH groups (which stands for 'Fellowship In Someone's Home'). These groups meet weekly (most meet on Wednesday Night) and will generally include a mixture of study and fellowship time. Many groups have activities for children and new groups continue to be added every year.WEDNESDAY NIGHT at the Church Building
For those who would prefer to attend a study at the church, we are now hosting one of our FISH groups in the Fellowship Hall. For more information, contact David Coons. We currently have groups in several areas around Cobb, Paulding and Bartow Counties. If you are interested in learning more, joining a group or would like to start a FISH group in your areas, please contact us and we would love to discuss it with you. CLICK HERE for a listing of current FISH Groups.

We are so blessed to live in a nation where we are free to worship our God openly and without fear. We practice that freedom each week with worship services and home-based 'small groups' for people of every age and background. In December 2006, we began to meet and worship in our new facility on Highway 92 in Acworth. On this page, you will find information about our various services and programs.

Perhaps you have heard only bits and pieces about Jesus' life. And maybe you have never heard about the church - the first church - that His disciples helped establish shortly after Jesus returned to heaven. Many of the answers that you are looking for, about these things and about life, may be found in the Bible. Others might come from people today.

We would like to help you find answers to questions such as these: "Who is Jesus?" "Is the Bible really true?" "What makes Christianity different?" "Why is this Church special?" "Where do I fit in?" "What should I do?

There are answers to these questions. Some answers are right before our eyes, evident in every day life. Others are in the Holy Scriptures, as we see the promises of God fulfilled throughout the ages. We would love the opportunity to help you in your quest to find the answers to these questions.

If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we extend the invitation to you. Come to a church service to see how HE is worshipped. Join us in a Bible Study or Home Bible Fellowship to understand more how HE speaks to us through His word. Set up a time with our Ministers or other members of our church to discuss how HE wants to be an active part of your life. Every step of the way, we will assist you on your walk as your brothers and sisters.

If you do already know Him, please consider joining us in fellowship and service by becoming a member of our church. We welcome people from all backgrounds, races, ages and personalities. The Bible is very serious about being involved in an active congregational body. Our prayer is that you will find that church home, where you can continue to grow in Him and for Him.
