As our guest we want you to feel at home. We understand that it's hard to visit a new church for the first time, so our guest services team will greet you at the front door and help you feel comfortable when you worship with us. They will answer any questions that you might have and direct you to the various areas in our building. The information below should help you know what to expect when you visit us on a Sunday morning.
Casual Attire
When you visit Northwest, you’ll find mostly casual attire along with a few business suits in our Sunday Services. Please dress the way that you feel most comfortable! We're more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear.
Friendly People
We strive to create a friendly, comfortable environment. We won't make you wear a visitor badge or stand up. We will provide you with a simple gift and guest packet that has a lot of great resources for you to get to know more about the ministries here at NWCC.
A Place For Your Children and Teens
Starting with excellent nurseries, there is something special for every age child from birth through high school. At every service on Sunday morning there are safe, clean, and well staffed nurseries for children five years old and under. For children in kindergarten through fifth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well- qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.
Students sixth grade through twelfth grade enjoy their own middle school and high school discipleship groups. These small groups, led by youth coaches and our Student Minister, meet at 9:30am in the Youth House adjacent to the main church building. A member of our Guest Services team in the lobby of the main church building will be happy to guide you to the Youth House.
Worship Services Relevant to Your Life
At Northwest, we design our services to be exciting and creative with teaching that’s relevant to your life. We are a congregation comprised of all different ages, thus we try to achieve a blend of music that contains both contemporary songs and traditional hymns. We celebrate communion every Sunday as this was the direction that Christ gave his disciples during the Last Supper. You will hear a creative and relevant message by our pastor Ron Mobley that not only teaches about God’s Word, but gives encouragement for the week ahead.
Sunday Schedule
Northwest has 2 identical services on Sunday morning at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM. There are Life Classes for both adults and children of all ages during each service. Many of our members will attend the first worship service and then a Life Class afterwards, or vice versa. On Sunday nights during the school year we also offer kids and students programming, Adult Life Groups (small groups), and some special classes beginning at 6:00pm. We typically take a break from our Sunday night programming through the summer months and during the Christmas season. Our Sunday evening programming will resume January 15, 2012.
The Offering
You will notice that our regular members participate in giving an offering during the church service. However, as a guest, we want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find our church to have a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering.
