MindBody&Spirit Ministry
The main purpose of the Mind Body & Spirit Ministry (MBS) and its associated programs are to provide an avenue for individuals to improve their overall wellbeing through fitness, health and scripture. The MBS programs interface with many of the other established ministries to achieve similar or companion goals, ranging from community outreach opportunities to recreational fellowship through emotional, physical & spiritual growth. Hence the ministry name, Mind Body & Spirit.
The Mind Body & Spirit Ministry consists of the 5 key programs below. Each program has a unique purpose, but all hold a common mission to improve one’s overall health through diet and exercise, while combining fellowship interaction, education and fun.
- First Place 4Health Program (FP4H) - a biblical approach to weight management, which puts Christ first and improves every area of a person’s life: spiritual, physical, mental and emotional.
- Fitness Program - combines physical activity with group fellowship & fun, while improving fitness through exercise. This is a time to sweat!!
- Active Families Program - draws families together for group fellowship & fun, while improving fitness through exercise.
- Fellowship in Motion Program - coordinates physical activity through a rotating organized team sport for group fellowship & fun.
- Health Awareness Program - helps to educate the community on health and fitness related topics that will aid them in their journey to overall wellbeing.
