The Women's Ministry
Ministry Statement:
The Women’s Ministry exists to glorify God by providing a spiritual, social and supportive environment for the women of our church and our community.
The Ministry Statement is foundational to each decision we make in Women’s Ministry.
Because we as women are relational people, opportunities that enhance this God given attribute are sought. We examine how we can reach as many women as possible with all our varying needs. We are continually looking for ideas that reach each woman sometime throughout a year.
Spiritual Environment:
- There are three women’s Bible studies that are available.
- Each year a women’s retreat is planned; sometimes off campus andother times on campus.
- Conferences such as Women of Faith or a Beth Moore seminar are
offered each year.
Social Environment:
- Our “Ladies Night Out” occurs once a month with a purpose of getting to know one another and to have fun together. Examples of activities are bowling, a dessert night at Melting Pot, a movie, games, crafts, rock climbing, among others.
- We host wedding and baby showers for the women of our church.
Supportive Environment:
- “Secret Sister” is an opportunity to encourage a specific woman throughout a year with gifts and /or notes.
- Through an “Encouragement Team”, every woman within our body
receives a card, e-mail, or call to encourage her and to let her know that she is in someone’s thoughts and prayers . - We touch our community as we help with the Paulding Pregnancy
Services, participating in the breast cancer walk, and as we support other ministry teams in their community outreach.
